John 2:1-5
1On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee,
and the mother of Jesus was there.
2Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.
3And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.”
4Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me?
My hour has not yet come.
”5His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”
One of the most popular miracles The Lord Jesus performed in the Bible is the Miracle of Cana of Galilee. He transformed six pots of water to some sweet wine in the wedding feast that had ran out of wine. The miracle is so famous that we have forgotten what gave birth to it in the first place.
One of the most popular miracles in the journeys of the Israelites through the wilderness was when the walls of Jericho fell down flat before the army of Israel and they walked straight on before them to possess the city. However, the miracle has become more popular than the secret of why it happened.
In 2 Kings 5 was the story of the Army General of Syria, General Naman. The whole Army General of Syria was a leper and had come to Prophet Elisha to heal him. The miraculous healing of the Syrian Army Commander, the sudden transformation of his skin to that of a new-born baby had almost dwarfed the reason behind the miracles.
How did The Lord create the express highway in the middle of the Red Sea for the millions of people to pass over? The ground on which they traveled on had been sandy and dusty. The sea which had parted into two had become frozen walls on the left and the right. They could physically see the swimming whales and sharks as if through a large aquarium glass. How did it happen? Why did it happen?
It seemed that Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ had learnt the secret of getting miracles from The Lord whenever the need arises, so when embarrassing situations were creeping into the wedding as a result of lack of wine, and there was panicking, Mary told the servants the secret of getting the miracles they needed from Jesus Christ.
John 2:5
His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”
And that is the SECRET that guides receiving MIRACLES from The Lord throughout the entire scriptures. When the tax collectors came to Jesus Christ to collect from Him their taxes and there was no money in their purse, Jesus told Peter to go to the sea, cast his hook and pull out the first fish. He told him to go and bring the money from the mouth of any fish the hook would catch. Peter got the money from the mouth of the fish because The Lord Jesus said so.
He told the blind Bartimeaus (Luke 18: 35-43) to come closer to Him, when he cried out to Jesus for a healing of his eyes, but in John 9:1-6, Jesus made clay into a paste and anointed the eyes of the man born blind and told him to go and wash in the pool of Siloam. Both of them did exactly what Jesus said and got the Miracles they asked for.
So, how did The Lord turn water into wine. He told the servant to fetch water into the empty six water pots, and they did, though it was a ridiculous command. Next, He told them to present the water to the Master of Ceremony as wine. Another very unreasonable command, but the mother of Jesus had already given them a secret of getting any miracles from Him, so they were ready to do whatever He says, even if it was irrational. They served the water to the High-Table, and it became a sweeter wine than the one they had previously served. The water had turned wine, BECAUSE THEY DID WHATEVER HE SAYS.
Isaiah 1:19
“If you are willing and obedient,You shall eat the good of the land;”
If you are willing to do whatever He says to you all the time, you will be living in an atmosphere of Miracles. If you are obedient child to Him, listening to His voice and walking in His commands all the time, you shall be walking in Miracles all the time.
Psalms 29:4-9
4. The voice of the Lord is powerful;
The voice of the Lord is full of majesty.
7. The voice of the Lord divides the flames of fire.
8. The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness;
The Lord shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.
Behind every instructions He gives to you is His power and majesty. So, the power and majesty follow you as you obey His words. If you desires His Miracles, then, learn to walk in His Words for your life daily. You can not be living in disobedience and still enjoy His miracles
in your daily life. You can not be walking contrary to His Word and still expect to see His wonders in your life daily. Some people run around, looking for His miracles; they go from one mountain top to another; they transit from one prophet to another, in search for miracles and wonders in their life. However, these miracles are close by. Check His Word, What instructions has He given to you? What has His Spirit spoken to you at any particular time?
For instance, you can not continue to live in unrighteousness in your office or campus and still be expecting or praying for His Miracles. You can not be living an immoral life and still be praying and fasting for His Wonders of Open Doors in your life. You are breaking His Word, you are not doing what He says to you.
Deuteronomy 28:13
And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.
There are no other ABC formulae of divine Promotion. The only formulae is learning to live by His commandment for your life. Learning to hear His voice and obey whatever He says concerning your daily life. It makes you to walk daily in atmosphere of miracles. Blessings and favors come after you and hover over you. Goodness and kindness walk around you wherever you are. It makes you to know the mind of God in your ministry all the time.
You can not still hold grudges against your husband or wife and still be praying for miracles for your ministry or business. You can not abandon your wife at home with your children and still expect God to favor you or perform miracles wherever you go. You can not pack out of the Master bedroom and begin to sleep separately from your husband in other to settle some scores and still be holding night vigils for Open Heavens and Overflowing wonders in your life. You have already broken the Word.
You can not be hiding some crucial secrets from your spouses and still be fasting for Divine Breakthrough, you have broken the Word on Oneness and Spiritual Unity. You can not be having a secret affair or deep relationship with another person in your office or campus and still be Praying and fasting for Open Doors of Wonders in your marriage. You are breaking the Word of God.
Some brothers are very inconsistent and spiritually unstable. They have proposed to three or four sisters at the same time without waiting to receive answer from one before approaching another. Yet they are praying and fasting for divine intervention on whom to marry.
Some sisters, have hung up about six or seven proposed brothers in the air, without telling them “Yes” or “No”. They just enjoy the way the brothers pursue after them as flies pursue sugar-cane. They don’t even know what The Lord is saying concerning any of them. Yet they desire that The Lord would give them a very loving and dedicated man as husband.
The bottom-line of Walking in the Miraculous is: Finding out whatever He says concerning any issues of your life and doing exactly what He says. If you want to continuously walk in Miracles, then, learn to live in obedience to His Word.
