A prominent Drama Minister, Evang. Blessing Adeoluwa has been finally laid to rest yesterday.

Late Evang. Blessing was said to have died on Tuesday 23rd of March, 2021, the night before his birthday in Kaduna where he went for Drama Mission Trip, Gospel Film News gathered.

Our correspondent, Lekan Jegede reports that Late Blessing Adeoluwa had left Akure for Kaduna for Ministration, moving from one church to the other, acting his one-man drama titled “Tani Were (Who is a lunatic)” when he was feeling weak and his brother who is a Pastor in Kaduna took him to hospital after church service on Sunday 21st March, 2021.

A reliable source disclosed to Gospel Film News correspondent that before the deceased passed on, he was still preaching to the Nurses on hospital bed to accept Jesus. The source added that late Blessing was saying “Why are you riding me down, allow me to go, leave me alone.”

According to our correspondent who was live at the burial, a Christian Wake-Keep was done for him Friday 26th March at his residence, Onimaalu Ijoka, Akure while Funeral Service was held Saturday 27th March at Reconciliation & Liberty Bible Church, Ologede Akure, Ondo State after which his remains was committed to mother earth.

BIOGRAPHY

Evang. Blessing Adeoluwa was born to the family of Adeogun at Ake, Abeokuta, Ogun State on 24th March, 1969. He schooled in Abeokuta while staying with his Elder Brother, Evang. Adebayo and later went to stay with Chief Ogunsola at Ijemo Agbadu. He later joined his other Elder Brother, Pastor Austin Adeogun at Ile-Ife, where he learnt Electrical Installation work but he did not practise it. While in Ile-Ife, he joined the Drama group at Gospel Faith Mission International and from there, he attended Mount Zion Drama School after which he started his full ministrations in Ile-Ife.

He moved to Akure where he got married to his heart-throb, Adenike Adeoluwa. The marriage was not without it’s own challenges. For many years, there was no child. But God demonstrated His faithfulness to the family and blessed them with triplets and later added one more.

Evang. Blessing Adeoluwa demonstrated the fact that he was a soldier of the cross. He risked his life to save the lost irrespective of the situation and circumstances in the country. He never allowed distance to stop him from fulfilling his God-given mandate to save the lost. This was one of the reasons why he was away to the Northern part of Nigeria where he had been ministering powerfully from church to church, saving souls to the kingdom in line with the name of his ministry- Saving Souls Drama Ministry (SASODRAM).

Even when it was apparent that his health was failing on Saturday 20th March, he still went ahead to minister on Sunday 21st March, 2021.

He was a soldier who chose to serve, and died at his duty post. He put off his costume, and entered into the back-stage permanently on Tuesday 23rd March 2021, the night before his birthday. He is survived by his brothers, his wife and children.
