New Dawn As Guild of Gospel Filmmakers, Gospel Filmmaking Network Inaugurated

It’s a new Dawn as a new guild of Gospel filmmakers named Gospel Filmmaking Network was unveiled and officially established, Gospel Film News can confirm.

Gospel Filmmaking Network was unveiled Friday 7th June, 2024 at the Drama Ministers Power Night hosted by The Mount Zion Faith Ministries International at the newly dedicated 2,500 seater Jesus Centre auditorium.

Speaking at the unveiling of GFN, Evang. Mike Bamiloye says the dream of GFN was long overdue. He explained further that the Gospel Filmmaking Network is a Guild of behind the scenes filmmakers, the likes of Cameramen, Directors, Producers, Editors, Make Up Artistes and other Crew Members.

Leadership of the Network at the Board of Trustee level includes Evang. Mike Bamiloye as the Chairman, Evang. Kolawole D. Okeowo is the Vice Chairman while Revrd. Yemi Adepoju occupies the General Secretary office.

Gospel Filmmaking Network

Evang. Kolade Segun-Okeowo takes care of the Treasury of the Board. Other members of the Board of Trustees include Evang. Ben Ope Johnson, Evang. Ayobami Adegboyega, Evang. Kingsley Onwuka and Evang. Kunle Adepoju. The only woman member of the Board of Trustees is Evang. (Mrs) Morenike Shodeinde.

The Board of National Executive of GFN includes Arch. Kayode Babalola as the Director General, Evang. Damilola Mike-Bamiloye as the Executive Secretary,

The mantle of the Financial Secretary fell on Evang. Kolo Peter, Evang. Opeyemi Akintunde is the Asst. Sec/Treasurer, John Oguntuase is the Director, Media & Publicity, Seyi Pedro-Adetola occupies the office of Prayer/welfare secretary, while Richard Kalu is the Web/social media manager, Michael Adedokun and Femi Adebile occupies the position of Organizing secretary and Special Duties/Provost Mashal respectively.

In a chat with Gospel Film News, the Gospel Filmmaking Network Director-General, Kayode revealed that the aim and objectives of the association is:
1. To preach the gospel and reach people in all nations of the world for Jesus Christ through gospel motion pictures production.
2. To serve as a professional body for Christians, especially Evangelical movie makers; provide a platform for professional development, collaboration and representation within the filmmaking industry.
3. To organize up-to-date technical training, seminars and workshops for her members and interested persons.
4. To create ministerial opportunities for her members within and outside Nigeria.
5. To maintain standard and discipline in Gospel filmmaking production sector.
6. To liaise with Gospel motion pictures makers in cordial relationship with external environment.
