NATION BUILDER – PRODUCED BY FREEGIFT INTERNATIONAL
Nation Builder is a new short film produced by Free Gift International Film and Theatre Ministry as an episode in its Scriptures in Pictures series was released on their YouTube channel FREEGIFT TV on 2 October 2020. The 26 minute movie is directed by Ayotunde Yoloye and is a compelling story of the tragedy of seeking personal benefit at the expense of the collective good.
When “The Nation”, a 50 storey building and an architectural masterpiece collapses, several citizens die in the process. An angry mob goes out in search of The Nation builder (played by Eric Amole Adams) who they believe is responsible for the collapse of The Nation. In desperation, the Nation builder seeks protection from the mob by fleeing to a house of refuge, where the three elders of the house – Bezer (played by Bolajoko Yoloye), Ramoth played by (Favour Abraham) and Golan played by (Femi Odunlami) seek to determine whether the Nation Builder deserves to be protected in the house of refuge or if he is guilty of shedding innocent blood. While in the House of refuge the nation Builder meets and becomes good friends with a Pastor (played by Ifeanyi Umeh) who becomes a source of encouragement to him.
The Nation Builder is a movie that examines seven core pillars on which great nations are built as well as the role of the church in shaping the society. It is a wake-up call to all and in particular the church on their God-given roles in nation building. To watch the movie click this link:
I LOVE NAIJA – PRODUCED BY FREEGIFT INTERNATIONAL
I Love Naija is a new short film produced by Free Gift International Film and Theatre Ministry as an episode in its Scriptures in Pictures series released on their YouTube channel FREEGIFT TV on 1 October 2020. The movie directed by Ayotunde Yoloye, which is a satire on Nigeria and a strategy for its restoration, was a timely message as Nigeria celebrated its 60th independence anniversary. It is a movie that explores the various challenges Nigeria faces as a nation and proposes four steps to be taken for the nation’s revival and restoration.
I Love Naija features, Eric Amole-Adams, Favour Abraham, Osas Okoduwa and Femi Odunlami. The 14 minute movie which was shot on location in Lagos follows the life of Naija, a houseboy from the eastern part of the country who work s for a couple from the western part of the country. Naija suffers in silence as he is exploited and unfairly treated by his employers and stretched to breaking point. Ironically, his employers, have become very dependent on Naija’s services but yet they fail to see the negative impact their behavior is having on Naija’s welfare and performance. In a very unique and interesting manner the movie highlights the many problems that face the nation such as tribalism, nepotism, impunity, corruption, graft, lack of respect for the rule of law and oppression of the poor.
I love Naija is a must watch for all Nigerian citizens who love their country and desire the best for It. It is a movie that assures all that in spite of how bad the situation of the country is, there is still hope for full restoration of the country if God’s plan is followed.
