Melita’s Director’s Cut To Be Released

By Oluwafemi Dosu

The director’s cut video of Melita movie will be released today on YouTube.

This was earlier announced by the movie director, David Kola Okeowo. He wrote:

“Some people have had to reach out to me asking what a DIRECTOR’S CUT is all about. 🙂Some even said that they thought that it’s a teaching film where I am going to be explaining some of my decisions and concepts🙂

“So I felt I should explain what a DIRECTOR’S CUT is particularly as it relates to MELITA.

“Now, let me give us a back story. Since MELITA was released, we have not really released the FULL message, as edited from the studio, for different reasons:

“1. Towards the premiere of Melita at the cinema, we were given a 3 hour slot, so we have to reduce the length of the film so as to fall within the time frame given.
Consequently, a 2 hour version of Melita was premiered.

“2. It was this same 2 hour version of the film that was given to a streaming platform in Europe.

“3. Even the episodic ones that were released was different.

“Now, this is the first time MELITA will be released in its FULLNESS. Without any time constraints. And with the perspective and the full interpretation of the DIRECTOR.

Melita Movie Director, David Kola Okeowo

“It is a complete 3 hour plus movie. You will love it🙂
