KSO Receives Africa Illustrious Award, Dedicates Award To Bamiloye, Gbenga Daniel

Legendary Gospel Filmmaker and political leader, Evang. Kolade Segun-Okeowo has received an Africa Illustrious Award adding to his numerous awards, Gospel Film News gathered.
Segun-Okeowo who was accompanied by his wife, Sunmbo Segun-Okeowo and children was given the award on Friday in Lagos.
The political leader who recently bagged two chieftaincy title dedicates his award to his late father, Akogun Maikel Olusegun Okeowo, his Political Leader and Mentor, His Excellency Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel and his Father in the Gospel Drama Ministry, Evang. Mike Bamiloye.
The award of excellence is a special recognition to the contribution of Kolade Segun-Okeowo to the societal growth and development.
Past recipients of the AFRICA ILLUSTRIOUS AWARD include His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Prof. Patrick Lumumba, AIG Alli Mohammed, ACP Chioma Ajunwa- Okpara and Joseph Yobo.
Others include Guinness Book of World Records holder in Chess, Tunde Onakoya and media mogul, Prince Bisi Olatilo. Mr. Sunday Dare, Nigeria’s Sports’ Minister and TV impresario; Rufai Oseni of Arise TV have also been previously awarded.
The Late Samuel Okparaji and Rashidi Yekkinni have got posthumous awards while Aare Gani Adams, The Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland also made the list of past awardees.
