Gospel Film Maker Ordains Full Pastor; Commends RCCG on Ministerial, Character Formation

Gospel film maker, Pastor Olusola Duyilemi, has been ordained pastor, commended authority of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG for keeping a policy that assists Christians to develop godly character capable of helping them find fulfilment in life, career and ministerial callings with eternity in focus.

Pastor Duyilemi stated this after himself and 2,156 others were ordained Full Pastors in RCCG at the ordination and thanksgiving service marking end to the RCCG 72nd Annual Convention held at the church’s 3Km by 3Km auditorium on Sunday 11th August, 2024, Gospel Film News learnt.

Addressing the congregation at the service, RCCG General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, said office of Full Pastor is the highest office in RCCG which the church authority holds in high esteem.

“You are now of the same rank with the General Overseer because this is the highest office in RCCG. I congratulate all of you on this ordination being a journey come through as well as a call to higher service,” said Pastor Adeboye.

Describing his ordination as a product of patience, perseverance, dedication to duties, consecrated life and selfless service to God and humanity, Pastor Duyilemi said, “character formation is very essential in ministerial journey. Godly character will help Christian ministers to exhibit fruit of Holy Spirit which accounts for success in life and ministry because God is more interested in the fruit more than the gifts”.

“It takes a godly character to manage anointing because anointing without godly character can result in annoyance. I therefore implore every Christian, drama minister in particular, to cultivate godly character and never allow wealth, fame, gift or talent to becloud them. As much as all these are essential in life, they are also ephemeral unlike godly character that will tell who we really are both to God and our fellow men,” he added.

Speaking on his RCCG sojourn of almost three decades, Pastor Duyilemi, stressed that, “RCCG does not compromise on ministerial trainings and the higher you go as a minister in this mission, the more you are subjected to series of trainings with more emphasis on cultivating godly character. These trainings assist RCCG ministers significantly across all facets of their lives”.

Pastor Olusola Duyilemi is a gospel actor, script writer, movie producer and director. He presides over Majestic Media Productions, a movie production and distribution outfit, with titles such as Ife Baba, Majemu Iwase, The Sacrifice, First Ministry, Sorrow of the Ungodly, Contentious Wife, among others to their credit.
