Veteran Gospel Actor and president of Victory Drama Group, Reverend Yemi Adepoju has told Church-Based drama groups that any Church Drama group that is still trying to convince their pastor for space  to minister drama in church have not started.

He stated this on Friday at the ongoing annual conference of Gofamint Drama an Film Ministry, GODRAM known as GODRAM Annual Conference of All Saint Artistes, GACASA.

Gospel Film News reports that Yemi Adepoju while ministering on the topic ‘Impacting your world through your local church drama ministry’ noted that though you started from the church but the Lord want to use you across the globe.  Speaking on Acts 1:8, he said God told disciples to stay in Jerusalem where they will receive power and enablement but they are not limited to Jerusalem, saying Jerusalem is the starting point of the ministry to launch out but your impact should be felt by all the world.

According to him, your local church where you receive the call as a drama minister is your Jerusalem, while your Judea can be the state headquarter of your church. He further caution church-based drama groups not to be a local champion in their local church, adding that It is their Impact in their  Jerusalem that will take them to the world.

According to him, Drama ministry is a practical gospel teaching, while a church-based drama ministry is a ministry under a ministry, adding that whatever any independent drama ministry is doing, church based drama ministry can do more. “You complement the work of your pastor to enhance the growth of the church and stabilize those that are in church,” he said.

He stressed that a member of church-based drama ministry must be people with vision and there must be unity among the members, members must posses gift if to make impact, work on their message and presentation.

“It is the message that makes a man the messenger”.  If you want to make impact in your local church, don’t depend on your church financially. Complete obedience to the church authority is needed. Your humility must be higher than your popularity and fame. Your impact will raise help for you,” he concluded.
