A gospel movie in Egun language spoken by Ogu people titled “GUGU TO” has been officially released online for people to watch.

The movie which was released on YouTube recently was written, produced and directed by Taiwo Agbotuedo. The short movie is subtitled in English.

“GUGU TO” is an Egun language which means Stupidity. The movie was shot, edited and produced in Badagry, Lagos State.

Agbotuedo while speaking with Gospel Film News noted that he decided to title it “GuGu To” because he concluded within himself that seeking God only when you are in challenges means you are a fool/stupid.

The center point of the movie is to encourage people to seek God from time to time instead of waiting till when they are in challenges before crying to him.

Egun (Gun) language is primarily spoken by Ogu people who are found mainly in Badagry area of Lagos State as well as in Ado-Odo/Ota, Ipokia, Imeko, and Yewa South Local Government Areas of Ogun State. The language is also spoken in neighbouring West African countries, notably the Republic of Benin, Ghana and Togo. Ogu people have varieties of dialects including Alada, Thevi, Xwela, Seto, Fon, Toli amongst others.
