The Balm of Gilead Gospel Drama Ministry has postponed its forthcoming conference, Gospel Film News gathered.

This is as a result of the situation of the country. The ministry bows to the order of Kwara State government saying there shouldn’t be any gathering more than 23 people and the conference is supposed to host hundreds of people.

In a statement issued and signed by the ministry president, Evang. Jonathan David, the ministry acknowledged everyone for their effort exerted in planning for the conference which was to commence today Friday, 27th March, 2020.

According to the statement, “the situation in our world today, especially Nigeria, has called for special attention of everyone in the country. Due to the Coronavirus Disease, which is called “COVID-19”, the Federal government as well as the State government, Kwara, has declared that there must not be a gathering more than 23 persons; movement restricted, everyone is to stay at home and no commercial transport to operate.

“From today’s emergency meeting which took place at 4pm, we concluded that it is better that we follow the legislation of the state and not create a mind in some people, especially people of other religion, that we are law breakers. (Romans 13:1)

“We, therefore, postponed the conference till further notice.

“We apologize for falling short of your expectations and preparedness. By the grace of God we shall get back to you after the pandemic subside.”
