Judges 16:1-3 KJV
[1] Then went Samson to Gaza, and saw there an harlot, and went in unto her.
[2] And it was told the Gazites, saying, Samson is come hither. And they compassed him in, and laid wait for him all night in the gate of the city, and were quiet all the night, saying, In the morning, when it is day, we shall kill him.
[3] And Samson lay till midnight, and arose at midnight, and took the doors of the gate of the city, and the two posts, and went away with them, bar and all, and put them upon his shoulders, and carried them up to the top of an hill that is before Hebron.

There are some Ironies of the Anointed that is very deadly and extremely dangerous to spiritual life. That Paradox of a Dying Minister manifested in Reuben, the first born of JACOB and also in the life of Judas, the treasurer disciple of Jesus. Is it not an irony that a man of God would be anointed of God and still be living in sin and the anointing in his life would yet be healing, and delivering and setting the captives free?

Is it not a dangerous spiritual paradox that a female choir member and the music leader would be living in immorality with impunity and yet her voice of special numbers would still be inspiring a lot of people in the congregation? Is it a dangerous Irony that a man of God would be full of Greed and Covetousness and still be healing the sick and saving souls into the Kingdom?

No wonder, when the Disciples of Jesus Christ were sent out in twos to go and preach the gospel and heal the sick and cast out demons; when they came back rejoicing that the demons were subject to their commands, Jesus told them a Bitter Truth:

Luke 10:20 KJV
[20] Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

To Jesus Christ, having your name in the Book of Life in Heaven is more important than being successful in casting out demons or performing miracles. But to many of us children of God and ministers, we would rather have the power and prestige of casting out demons and performing diverse miracles than having our names written in the Book of Life and making heaven. Some people lives in sins of immorality, greed and covetousness and still go about casting out demons and performing miracles.

Some children of God still live in gross ungodliness and still perform their duties laboriously in the church; some people are very fervent in the things of God, yet their names have been wiped off from the Book of Life. Some people are gifted in music and drama acting but their horrible sinful lives have separated them away from God. They are so particular about making names for themselves in their various gifts and talents and ministries and callings, but they care less about making it to Heaven at last.

In the passage above, it is about the Ironical Life of Samsom. He had gone to GAZA to lodge over the night with a harlot. He had slept with the Harlot till middle of the night. Then, he came out of the brothel and got to the gate of the city and discovered that it had been locked up. He still had the power of God in him to root out the whole of the gate with all its bars and locks and pillars. He pulled everything out of the ground and carried it on his shoulders up to a mountain opposite the Hebrons. The Power of God was still in him after sleeping with a Harlot. He never cared about living Holy, but about displaying the anointing and power of God upon his life. THAT IS A DANGEROUS IRONY OF A MINISTER’S LIFE.

And that is why Jesus Christ says in Matthew 7: 20-23

[20] Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
[21] Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
[22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
[23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Are you Anointed in the Lord and still living in sins and Ungodliness? Jesus Christ, our Master does not have respect for your activities and services but for your Godly life and personal Relationship with Him.
TO HIM, IT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAT YOUR NAME IS WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE THAN ALL THE MIRACLES AND WONDERS YOU MAY PERFORM IN HIS NAME.
