DRAMA MINISTERS YEAR OF OVERFLOW
” ENOUGH OF DANGEROUS EXCUSES”
Jeremiah 1:5-8
[5] “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
[6] Then said I: “Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.”
[7] But the LORD said to me: “Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak.
[8] Do not be afraid of their faces, For I am with you to deliver you,” says the LORD.
God had told Jeremiah that he was born for a purpose. He had made him and that ever before he was born, he had been crafted to be a Prophet to the nation of Israel. He had been released into the world for a time as that moment. He was not a mistake or a product of an accidental discharge. His Mama and father fulfilled their ministry by giving birth to him and nursing him till he entered into his ministry.
Because he was heavenly sent for a purpose, he was heavenly guided and protected from all deaths and dangers till the time he must choose to enter the purpose and start to live for the reasons of his Creation.
Alas when the moment of the Reasons for his living came, when the time of his Calling came, HE BEGAN TO GIVE EXCUSES.
Jeremiah 1:6
Then said I: “Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.”
In many places in the Bible, we come across people who give various excuses when it was time for them to enter into their Purpose for their Existence. Today also, People come up with Reasons not to Answer Him when they are called to enter into their ministry of relevance:
“I am too young”
“I am still single”
“I am a female”
“I have not got my degree “
“I have not got my Masters “
” I have not got my PhD.”
” I have not got my own house”
” I have. Finished paying my Mortgage”
” I got only boys, I have not got a girl yet”
” until I got my promotion first. “
” when I get my Green-Card”
When it is time for them to answer the call of God and enter into the moment of their Purpose for Living, a lot OF people give Reasons why they think it is not yet time.
When the Lord came to Moses in the Burning Bush to call him into the reason for preserving his life when thousand of his age mates were massacred by Pharaoh, and God went ahead to hide him in the Palace of those who were looking for his death, when it was time for him to fulfil the Reason for his Living, he too gave Excuses.
Exodus 3:9-11
[9] Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.
[10] Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”
[11] But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”
Moses was scared at this type of commission. He looked at himself and said how could he bring forth the whole of the slaves out of Egypt. God promised to be with him and give him all the support he would need. Then he raised another objections. When the people of Israel asks him who sent him, what would he tell them? God replied him ” Tell them, I Am that I Am” has sent you.
Then the Lord gave him assurances and promises and told him many things about Pharaoh and the elders of Israel just to convince him that He wanted him to go
Then, Moses said yet again:
Exodus 4:1
Then Moses answered and said, “But suppose they will not believe me or listen to my voice; suppose they say, ‘The LORD has not appeared to you.'”
That was when the Lord began to give him signs and proofs. He told him to drop the rod in his hand and it became a serpent, he told him to grab it by the tail and it became a rod again. He told him to put his hand hinder his arm-pit, and it became leprous, he brought it out again, and it became clean. He. Gave him assuring Signs and Proofs that he was being sent to fulfill the purpose for the moment.
Ladies and Gentlemen, hear another Excuses from Moses again:
Exodus 4:10
, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.”
And yet again, the Lord answered that He was the maker of all mouths and tongues. So it was not a tenable excuse.
Exodus 4:11-12 NKJV
[11] So the LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD?
[12] Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.”
What more assurance does a man want more than that? What more Super Promise from heaven? God had come down to take time to explain and give reasons why he must enter his Purpose for Living.
Exodus chapters 3 and 4 are full of God’s Persuasion and Statements of Convictions to Moses. Then, when we all thought Moses would not be convinced of the long Persuasion of God, he broke the Ceramics.
Exodus 4:13
But he said, “O my Lord, please send by the hand of whomever else You may send.”
This, Moses systematically turned down the Lord’s passionate Request after all His Persuasive explanations and assurances.
Moses technically requested for a Replacement. A Substitute.
All Heavenly Investment gone down the drain.
The Thousands of babies that were slaughtered in the course of demonic search for the Deliverer of Isreal, had amounted to nothing. Those babies had been killed in vain and those families of Israel had wailed for fun.
Moses Rejected the Call for which he was created, preserved, protected, and sponsored into the Palace of Pharaoh for. He had wasted Heavenly Investment.
He had asked God for a Replacement. And God did not take that lightly.
Exodus 4:14, 16
[14] So the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and He said: “Is not Aaron the Levite your brother? I know that he can speak well. And look, he is also coming out to meet you. When he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.
[16] So he shall be your spokesman to the people. And he himself shall be as a mouth for you, and you shall be to him as God.
God knew Aaron could speak very well better than Moses, but He chose And called Moses. However, The Bible says the Anger of God has kindled against Moses for resisting the call in his heart, for asking for a Substitute and a Replacement after all the investment on him.
Beloved Brethren, TWO major Unenviable things happened to Moses on the day of his Calling and Commissioning into ministry:
First, the Anger of the Lord kindled against him.
Second: God answered his prayers for a Substitute and Replacement.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Aaron was just an Interim Replacement the Lord gave Moses on his day of Commissioning. His actual Replacement was JOSHUA, THE SON OF NUN.
Could that be the Underlining Reason why he entered into an unforgivable Error and the Lord disqualified him at the edge of Entering the Land?
Could that be the reason why it was someone else who eventually took the Israelites across the Jordan to Canaan Land?
There is no much problem in giving reasons and excuses before the Lord, but the major problem lies in Technically rejecting the commission in your heart and asking God for a Replacement.
Where do we fit into this Situation?
For Five, Ten, Twenty, Twenty Five years, some people have been giving REASONS and EXCUSES why they could not enter into the Purpose for their Living.
So that have angered God of their Salvation.
God spoke to Jeremiah:
Jeremiah 1:7
“Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak.
HE HATES EXCUSES.
EXCUSES WASTES GOD’S INVESTMENTS UPON A PERSON’S LIFE.
So many people are living a wasted life because they had rejected the Call of God that would have ushered them into their realm of relevance know life.
A lot OF people called and commissioned into glorious duties have asked God to replace them because they gave God many reasons why they could not enter into their Rightful Purpose for Living.
They gave God time.
They Kept Postponing and Procrastinating.
They kept shifting the time of obedience forward.
They kept giving God their Terms and Conditions.
So for 5,10, 15, 209 they have not entered into their Place of Ministerial and Spiritual Fulfilment.
What Reasons are you still giving?
You will have to show to God that you believe that YOU ARE NOT HERE BY ACCIDENT.
